The fifth Cancer Crosslinks Sweden will take place on October 25th, 2017, at Medicon Village, Lund.
Cancer Crosslinks brings together researchers from healthcare providers, academia, and industry with representatives from regulatory units in a one-day meeting. The organizers aim to start an interdisciplinary discussion with the potential to result in new partnerships to develop the area of Precision Medicine and Immuno-oncology.
The concept of Cancer Crosslink meetings was established in Oslo, Norway, ten years ago when the Oslo Cancer Cluster in collaboration with Bristol-Myers Squibb arranged the first Cancer Crosslink meeting. This year is the 5th jubilee in Sweden and 10th jubilee in Norway (January 2018).
CREATE Health is the Strategic Centre for Translational Cancer Research at Lund University. CREATE Health brings together clinicians and researchers from Lund University Hospital with researchers from the Faculties of Medicine, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Engineering. Thereby, a centre unique in its kind has been created, which is moreover superbly equipped with various integrated “omics” platforms concentrated in a single area. The vision of CREATE Health is to use an integrative approach, where novel diagnostics and therapeutics are developed based on identified markers and molecular signatures. Through the direct application of research, we aim to create a substantial impact for the individual patient, with focus on selection of an optimal, individually-based, cancer treatment, i.e. Precision medicine.
