A refrigerant is a fluid that transfers heat from one area to another. In a freezer, the refrigerant is used to cool the cabinet to the desired temperature by transferring heat from inside the freezer to the external environment through a cycle of thermodynamic processes.
VIP ECO Ultra-low freezers use two hydrocarbon refrigerants. The low-stage refrigerant is used to remove heat from the freezer cabinet to provide a secure ultra-low (-86ºC) storage environment.
