A Working Lab Innomedicum is a new meeting place for life science innovation in Campus Solna at Karolinska Institutet.
Akademiska Hus, KI Innovations and KI Science Park have initiated the almost 5 000 squaremeter large co-working environment at Nanna Svartz väg 4 in Solna. It includes flexible workplaces, private offices, laboratories, meeting rooms, makerspaces and rooms for events. The co-working environment aims to be a central meeting place for students, scientists, businesses and start-up companies in the middle of Campus Solna.
Unique possibilities for life science innovations for the entire region
Today there are 67 members from around 15 different companies active at A Working Lab Innomedicum.
“The mixture of innovation offices, incubators, scientists, students and companies makes us a unique life science hub. KI Innovation’s role is to be a bridge between academic research and the entrepreneurial world where an invention can be developed into a product. We have been lacking a physical environment and a community where innovators, startups and entrepreneurs can meet, learn from each other, form companies and develop. AWL Innomedicum fills this void and creates unique possibilities for life science innovations for the entire region,” says Lilian Wikström, CEO, KI Innovations.
