Anna Omstedt Lindgren nominated as Founder of the Year
Anna Omstedt Lindgren, Founding Partner and Board Member of MedUniverse and experienced entrepreneur in the digital field, is nominated as Founder of the Year in Sweden, at Nordic Startup Awards. The public voting is open March 24 to April 18.
The Nordic Startup Awards is a series of events in the Nordic countries – Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Norway and Finland – to recognize, celebrate and connect the Nordic startup ecosystem. In addition to being regional it is also cross-sectorial, bringing together all the actors within the startup ecosystem from startups and investors, to journalists and many more.
MedUniverse was founded in 2008 by Anna Omstedt Lindgren and Anna Norin, shifting business models in 2012. MedUniverse has developed a patient case software, customized for the pharmaceutical and med-tech industries, as a means for effective and engaging information and education around patient cases towards doctors, other HCPs and/or patients. The long run goal is improved patient outcomes through up to date, shared knowledge among the different life science stakeholders. Currently, over twenty international pharmaceutical companies are subscribing clients.
In January 2016, MedUniverse closed an investment round of approx.1.5 million USD to provide resources for accelerated software development, to enable international expansion and to grow the team.
