Highlights from Anglonordic Life Science Conference 2022

The 18th edition of the Anglonordic Life Science Conference offered an exclusive opportunity for European investors and R&D companies from the Nordics and the UK to connect with each other.

The conference took place on Thursday 5th May at etc.venues County Hall, London, but networking began already on the evening of Wednesday 4th May, with an exclusive Anglonordic Drinks Reception at the H.E. the Ambassador of Denmark to the UK’s residence in central London. The 2022 event also had guest delegations from Spain and Denmark participating.

An environment where R&D companies can easily meet and mingle with investors

The conference was co-organized by M Ventures and attracted over 70 investors. In total, the organizers welcomed 264 registered attendees from 190 organizations, and 286 meeting were booked.

“The size, focus, and invitation-only policy provides an environment where R&D companies can easily meet and mingle with investors,” describes Trishita Bose, Marketing Communications Executive at BioPartner UK, one of the organizers of the event. “Like every year, we send a feedback form to all participants of the Anglonordic Conference. The response has been positively overwhelming, with most of them extremely satisfied with the panel discussions, presentations and the workshop. Some of them have already shown keen enthusiasm to return for the 2023 Anglonordic Conference.”

During the conference, European investors shared knowledge about the current status of European investment in life science technologies via the panel discussions, and were able to identify exciting new investment opportunities in the company presentations and 1:1 meetings.

Highlights from the program

Among the 2022 highlights Trishita Bose mentions a panel discussion on Trends in life science investments, where Europe’s leading investors like M Ventures, INKEF and Sofinnova, provided an overview of their outlook on the market, as well as current and future trends that are driving investment in the healthcare sector.

“Another interesting panel was RNA in the Spotlight, headed by Donna Hackett from the Francis Crick Institute. The potential of #RNA therapeutics studied in the last two decades, with some overwhelming barriers, like delivery systems, were discussed,” adds Trishita Bose.
