Sweco and Arkitema Architects has been given the task of completing the new Sahlgrenska Life in Gothenburg, a prestigious project which connects the University of Gotheburg and the industry close to the Sahlgrenska Science Park.
Their common blueprint won the architect competition and ahead is now detailed planning of the environment surrounding the Sahlgrenska hospital. The mission for the winning architects includes 90 000 square metres and it is a prestigious project which connects the University of Gotheburg and the industry close to the Sahlgrenska Science Park.
“The winning proposal has architectual qualities and provides a clear and recognizable identity for a world leading center of medical research, healthcare and education,” says the Chairman of the jury, Arve Nyhus.
The buildings are not only a possibility for more modern facilities, but also a great reinforcement of the Gothenburg region’s position within life science with a creative environment for the industry.
