SwedenBIO has appointed the co-founder and operational manager of Sprint Bioscience, Jessica Martinsson, as its new Director General.
“With her entrepreneurial experience and co-founder of a life science company, SwedenBIO will gain a leadership that will drive the industry’s development further. Jessica’s knowledge within drug development in both small and large companies as well as her passion for cooperation will create better conditions for the industry, which is needed in the long term in order to improve the public health and the society at large,” says Lotta Ljungqvist, Chair of the SwedenBIO Board.

Besides being co-founder and operational manager at Sprint Bioscience, Jessica Martinsson has also been CEO of the company. She is an entrepreneur and pharmaceutical developer with experience from for example Pharmacia&Upjohn and Biovitrum, and as board member of Lipigon Pharmaceuticals. She has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Uppsala University.

Martinsson will take on her new role at SwedenBIO on March 1st 2023.
