Adroit Science AB is providing comprehensive understanding, including characterization support, within the solid-state physics area. The company has initiated a program to become GMP compliant with respect to selected solid state analyses that are of critical importance for the pharmaceutical industry.
Determination of particle size distribution using laser diffraction (LALLS) and identification of crystal modification using X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD) have already been implemented with several successful method validations and batch releases delivered to date.
Starting from Q1 2019, also quantification of amorphous content using isothermal microcalorimetry (TAM) will be offered by Adroit Science as one of very few laboratories worldwide.
The figure illustrates the calorimetric response for a material containing approximately 2% amorphicity.
