Nanoplastics in your drinking water – specifying the what’s and how much

Dricksvatten

SOLVE will be part of a project that will investigate micro- and nanoplastics in drinking water.

By using our AF4 in combination with Heart-Cutting HC-GC/MS (pyrolysis GC-MS), nanoparticles will be fractionated for characterization, quantification and identification of the plastic type. The AF4 characterization method is suitable for all types of nanomaterials, including polydisperse and complex nanomedicines, giving detailed information on the physicochemical properties for single nanoparticles up to any micron-sized aggregates. The nanoplastic project is funded by The Swedish Water & Wastewater Association (Svenskt Vatten Utveckling) and coordinated by Sweden Water Research.
