This year’s SALSS is all about brains
The Swedish American Life Science summit, SALSS, by tradition been held in the end August in Stockholm, Sweden, is a private, independent non-profit initiative, founded by the business woman Barbro C. Ehnbom.
And this year, global talents within brain research and industry will gather in Stockholm, August 22-24, to discuss the latest findings and the most exciting drug developments, diagnostics and health tech products within ALS, Alzheimer, MS, migraine, depression, opiat dependence and much more.
Highlights from the program
The three-day program includes presentations from Dr. Li-Huei Tsai, Tsai Laboratories, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr Deborah Mash, Professor of Neurology, University of Miami, Meryl Comer, Founding Partner, the Global Alliance on Women’s Brain Health and Dr. Stephen Squinto, Venture Partner, OrbiMed Advisors. There will also be panels on Brain Disease to Date and Hope or Hype: Where Do AI, ML and Big Data Go from Here? Company presentations include for example BioArctic, Camanio Care, IRLAB Therapeutics and Orexo. Innovative health tech products will also be presented, based on traditional medtech but also on AI, Robotics and VR.
On Friday the winner of this year’s Rising Star Award will also be announced.
