The Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME) is a mentoring program that helps Nordic startups to grow and internationalize.

NOME matches Nordic startups with highly skilled volunteer professionals to help them reach their goals and technology milestones.

“The goal is simple: to help the very best biotech and medtech startups in the Nordics to become the next growth successes. That is the basis to position the Nordic Countries as one of the leading Life Science regions”, summarises Hanna Halme, Senior Adviser at Turku Science Park Ltd.

NOME is an independent volunteer based organization. The teams and projects can applicate to the program anytime. The commercial potential is the focus in evaluation process. The first interview will be done by the local partners. The final decision of acceptance is then done in a steering committee. Accepted teams will get all the mentoring free.

Turku science Park Ltd. coordinates the NOME-programme in Finland and collaborates with Vertical as well as with other Finnish Life Science players to find the best match of mentors and entrepreneurs. The other partners in NOME are Accelerace in Denmark, Karolinska Institutet Innovations AB and Medicon Village in Sweden, Oslo Cancer Cluster Incubator and Aleap in Norway.

“This cooperation offers excellent opportunity to get coaching and support from experienced top class professionals. NOME partners and our mentors have not only knowledge but also the contacts to worldwide networks”, Hanna Halme emphasizes.
