The world’s largest medical trade fair offered an unique opportunity to explore the latest innovations, listen to inspiring speakers and enjoy high quality networking.
More than 4500 exhibitors and 120 000 visitors from 120 countries were expected to gather at the Messe Dusseldorf on November 16-19 2015 for the annual medtech event. MEDICA is divided into different themes; electromedicine/medical technology, information and communications technology, physiotherapy/orthopaedic equipment, disposables/commodities and consumer goods, laboratory equipment/diagnostics and visitor target groups. Visitors could also make use of the new Who is Who-system, where they could search by criteria and easily find contact partners.
Covering the entire spectrum
Starting from this year onwards, MEDICA in Dusseldorf was be held in parallel to COMPAMED, the international trade fair for suppliers of the medical technology industry. Here the focus was on everything from new materials, components, primary products, packaging and services, such as spare parts handling, all the way to complete custom manufacturing. This combination of fairs represents the entire process chain and the full range of medical products, devices and instruments. In addition, the MEDICA Education Conference offered topics such as surgery and new operational techniques, imaging, endoscopy and interventions, geriatrics, nutritional medicine and palliative care.
Other parallel conferences were The German Hospital Association Conference, European Hospital Conference, MEDICA Medicine + Sports conference, MEDICA Physio conference and the International Conference on Disaster and Military Medicine.
