The Copenhagen-based biotech company develops technology for precision cancer surgery. FG001 is designed to light up cancer tissue and guide surgeons during surgery, and it has received both Fast Track and Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for high-grade glioma (HGG).

The collaboration aims to optimize how imaging systems and FG001 are used together to improve treatment for patients with HGG. The current agreement focuses on supporting the clinical phase and gathering a body of evidence on Leica’s technology platform.

The agreement is non-exclusive and includes no initial payment. Financial terms have not been disclosed, and the agreement will not affect FluoGuide’s financial results for 2026.

“We’re pleased to join forces with Leica, a world leader in medical technology, to advance precision surgery for brain tumors. Combining FG001 with Leica’s microscope systems aims to strengthen surgical accuracy and help improve outcomes for cancer patients,” says Morten Albrechtsen, CEO of FluoGuide.
