Through the partnership, Doctor’s Data has developed and validated the NAD Profile (whole blood), a laboratory-developed test that uses NADMED’s assay to measure NAD+ and NADH from a standard venous blood draw. The test is designed to help practitioners establish baseline levels and monitor them over time, with results interpreted alongside other clinical and laboratory findings.

The Helsinki spin-out was founded to solve a long-standing problem in metabolic and mitochondrial research: how to measure NAD biomarkers accurately, reproducibly, and at scale. The deal supports NADMED’s continued international expansion.

“NAD is central to how our cells produce energy and respond to stress, yet measuring it reliably in whole blood has required specialist methods that are impractical for routine laboratory use. NADMED was founded to change that, and Doctor’s Data now puts that measurement within reach of practitioners across the US,” says James Lee, CEO of NADMED.

Founded in 1972, Doctor’s Data runs a CLIA-licensed clinical laboratory and offers specialty testing in areas including nutritional status, gastrointestinal health, environmental exposure, cardiometabolic risk, and endocrinology.

“NAD testing is a natural addition as interest in metabolic health and personalized healthcare continues to grow,” says Jonathan Lynn, Director of Sales at Doctor’s Data. “Our partnership with NADMED allows us to bring advanced NAD measurement to our practitioner network and provide clinicians with objective data that can help support more informed, individualized approaches to patient care.”

The NAD Profile is now available to eligible practitioners nationwide. The test has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, and the NAD+ and NADH assays supplied by NADMED are labeled for research use only in the United States.
