Novo Nordisk Foundation appoints new Vice President Biotechnology
Chris Bettinger brings deep knowledge and a clear vision that will help translate bold research-based initiatives into societal impact states Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Chris Bettinger brings a strong combination of international perspective, leadership experience, and deep expertise in biotechnology, biomaterials, and mission-driven research. He is particularly focused on translating cutting-edge research into solutions within fields such as synthetic biology, biomanufacturing, and sustainability.
Bettinger previously served as a Programme Manager at the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the United States and as a professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He has also held visiting professorships in both Sweden and Switzerland.
