Medivir receives US patent notice for fostrox-lenvatinib combination
Medivir has received a Notice of Allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for its patent application covering the combination of fostroxacitabine bralpamide (fostrox) and lenvatinib in hepatocellular carcinoma and liver metastases.
The company said the patent would add to existing approvals in the EU, Japan, Australia and Canada, and could provide market exclusivity until at least April 2041.
“This Notice of Allowance is part of our strategy to protect clinically relevant combinations with fostrox in liver cancer,” says CEO Jens Lindberg. “It is especially critical considering the commercial importance of the US market.”
