The contract, awarded through the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), covers scheduled deliveries over the four-year term and includes optional flexibility provisions. The value was not disclosed. It follows earlier UK procurements of the vaccine, which is marketed in the UK as Imvanex.

The award comes a week after Bavarian Nordic said it would supply and donate MVA-BN doses to a new global mpox vaccine emergency stockpile.

“We are pleased to continue supporting the UK government’s preparedness efforts through this multi-year agreement,” says Hitesh Sahni, Senior Vice President, Public Preparedness at Bavarian Nordic.
