Carola Lemne new CEO for Svenskt Näringsliv
Carola Lemne takes over the post as CEO for Svenskt Näringsliv, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, after Urban Bäckström who is resigning.
Lemne is assuming office in May 2014, according to a press release from Svenskt Näringsliv, where it is also stated that Lemne has had several leading positions in the global industry such as Pharmacia & Upjohn and Shering Plough. For seven years she was also CEO of Danderyd hospital. Since 2008 Carola Lemne has been CEO at Praktikertjänst. Furthermore she is the chariman of Uppsala Universty and is in the board of Investor and Getinge, as well as in the board and working committee of Svenskt Näringsliv. Also, Carola Lemne is an educated physician and MD.
“It feels great but also a responsibility to get the trust to manage Svenskt Näringsliv. I am dedicated to our Swedish society. Enterprising people and successful companies is the basis of our welfare,” comments Carola Lemne.
