Finnish finalists in European eHealth competition
The Finnish company Medixine has won third prize for eHealth solutions in the EU SME European eHealth Competition.
Medixine was awarded third prize in the “Champions” category for eHealth solutions that include Remote Home Monitoring & Advanced Patient portals in Europe, Asia and the United States. The company specializes in software for multichannel communication e-services for health care and wellness, designed for smooth communication between healthcare providers, patients and their families. Among the company’s solutions are population based health forecasting and reminder systems, patient based disease management and e-care systems.
The 2014 EU SME European eHealth Competition is organised by TICBioMed in collaboration with the Health and Wellbeing Unit of the European Commission and was held in conjunction with the WOHIT meeting in Nice on 2 April. The competition aims to discover the most innovative eHealth solutions developed by small European companies. Several Finnish companies were represented among the 16 finalists: besides Medixine, Codenomicon, BlindSquare, 9Solutions Ltd, Emfit Ltd, Evondos Oy, and Euformatics Oy were among the finalists.
