The Uppsala-based company develops and manufactures immunoassays and provides specialized bioanalytical services for research and drug development, with a focus on diabetes, obesity, and related cardiometabolic conditions.

Åsbrink has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in life science. Her previous roles include VP Global Operations, Immunodiagnostics at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Site Director at Galderma’s Uppsala site. Most recently, she held a role with Nordic responsibility for laboratory medicine and pathology at Unilabs. As interim CEO, she will focus on building on Mercodia’s scientific and technical strengths, deepening customer partnerships, and supporting the company’s continued development.
