Lif Sweden appoints new Head of International Relations
Sara Lowemark has broad experience in international trade and EU issues and she will be able to strengthen Lif’s work in a time of extensive political changes and new regulations that affect the pharmaceutical industry globally.
Sara Lowemark takes over the role from Jenni Nordborg, who recently took over as head of Lif’s new Strategy and Community Relations department.

Sara Lowemark has previously held roles at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Swedish Cancer Society, Almega and Swedish Medtech. At Lif, she will be responsible for the organization’s international work, with a focus on monitoring global regulations and policy processes that affect the research-based pharmaceutical industry.
“The pharmaceutical industry is one of Sweden’s most important basic industries and a prerequisite for both the development of healthcare and the country’s long-term competitiveness. In a situation where the EU is pushing through extensive legislative packages and the American administration is launching new policies, we need to monitor and influence so that international decisions strengthen – not weaken – the conditions for research, innovation and export. I look forward to contributing to Lif’s work to ensure that Sweden and the Nordic countries are strong voices on these issues,” says Sara Lowemark.
