LINK Medical Research, based in Oslo, has acquired all shares in PCG Clinical Services, located in Uppsala.
After this acquisition, LINK Medical as a group has more than 160 employees in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany, reports the company.
“PCG Clinical Services completes our span of offerings within clinical contract research. Thus, we have a richer spectrum of services and can undertake much larger projects for our existing and prospective customers in the pharmaceutical industry,” says Ola Gudmundsen, CEO of LINK Medical.
A new focus for PCG
General manager of LINK Medical in Sweden, Jan Hellqvist, will also manage PCG Clinical Services, which will now change its name to LINK Medical AB. LINK Medical, before the acquisition, had more than 30 employees in Sweden. All locations in Stockholm, Malmö, and Uppsala will be kept.
“The sale of PCG Clinical Services follows a change in strategy. For us it was important to find a buyer who shares our values, a strong professional position, and with clear Scandinavian roots. The sale of our CRO unit allows us to fully focus on our activities in PCG Solutions and the software Viedoc,” says Henrik Blombergsson, CEO and co-founder of PCG Clinical Services.
