Public healthcare and the pharma, medtech and laboratory technical industries get new collaboration rules.
Swedish Medtech has entered an agreement with the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the trade association for the research-based pharmaceutical industry (LIF) and Swedish Labtech about the collaboration rules. The new agreement describes the parties view on product and service information, different types of meetings, market research, procurements, consulting assignments and donations. Now there are common rules for all public healthcare co-workers and firms when it comes to for example costs, routines on invitations and decisions on participation and meals.
The agreement is built on a consensus and an aspiration that previously has been manifested in separate agreements between healthcare and the organizations representing the industry. The parties have now on a central level agreed on a common approach. The agreement will come into effect on January 1 2014 and will replace the present agreement on collaboration rules, the so-called collaboration agreement (Samverkansavtalet).
