US Patent titled “Therapeutic anticancer neoepitope vaccine,” protects VB10.NEO and Nykode’s broader modular neoantigen platform – including alternative targeting and dimerization units – through January 2037. VB10.NEO is a DNA-based, individualized cancer immunotherapy that has been studied across two clinical trials spanning more than ten tumour indications, built on an APC-targeted design, a validated neoantigen selection algorithm and an established manufacturing supply chain.

The patent grant lands shortly after Merck and Moderna reported positive Phase 3 data for a competing individualized neoantigen programme — results Nykode says validate the field and position its DNA-based approach as an alternative to mRNA-based vaccines.
