The Center for Translational Research Sweden (CTR) has announced that the Board has appointed Karin Meyer as their new Chief Executive Officer.
Karin Meyer succeeds Mats Lindquist who has been CEO since the foundation of CTR in 2016. She will begin her new position on May 1st 2021.
Karin Meyer has long experience of having management roles within the pharma and biotech industry, she has a great knowledge of this branch of industry and a very good understanding of the development of new products within these areas, states CTR. Meyer is a pharmacist and most recently she was CEO of Apotekarsocieteten (the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society).
“I really look forward to this assignment and to, together with the board and the companies in the CTR sphere, continue to expand the organization. To build a strong and well coherent structure in order to make competence available to national and international customers within the pharma and medtech areas is extremely important for life sciences in Sweden, and it is also something that I personally is passionate about,” says Karin Meyer.
