She began working at EIT Health Scandinavia in December 2018 as Education Lead, responsible for promoting innovative education. She has also worked with the EIT Health project Healthcare Transformation Academy, run by hospitals within the European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA).
Annika Szabo has a PhD in medical science and a clinical background within logopaedics, including two decades of international experience from higher education, research and innovation lead.
“In the Nordic region we will continue to pursue issues such as the talent gap, support groundbreaking preventive care, collaborate with national organizations within financing and pursue key issues like secondary use of health data, facilitating and sharing access to health data and using resources effectively, as well as obtain optimal results for each patient so that we can provide the best possible care. I am also particularly keen to continue the work that EIT Health France has laid the foundation to during the French chairmanship and together with the Swedish life science ecosystem contribute to pursue/push the health issue during the Swedish chairmanship in 2023,” says Anniki Szabo.
