The company, who recently changed its name to Hansa Biopharma from Hansa Medical, has appointed a new Cheif Financial Officer and a new Vice President, Global Human Resources.
On January 18th Anne Säfström Lanner was appointed Vice President, Global Human Resources. Lanner has over 15 years of human resources experience in international growth companies, including developing and implementing strategies for talent acquisition and management, organizational culture and employer branding, compensation and benefits, and employee training and development, states the company in their press release.
Prior to joining Hansa, she served at European Spallation Source (ESS), a European multi-disciplinary research facility, in HR leadership roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as Head of Resourcing. Previously, Lanner was Head of Human Resources at CellaVision, a provider of digital solutions for medical microscopy within hematology. She earned her Bachelor of Social Science in Human Resource Management, with a focus in organizational development & leadership, at Lund University.
New CFO
Just a few weeks later, the company announced that Donato Spota will become their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Eva-Maria Joed, currently serving as CFO, will continue in the company as Vice President, Finance & Administration, reporting to Spota.
Spota is a senior executive with more than 20 years of international pharmaceutical industry experience, including strategic finance, investor relations and international capital markets transactions, states the company. Prior to joining Hansa, Spota was with Basilea Pharmaceutica AG, a Swiss listed biopharmaceutical company, for 16 years where he served as CFO for the past five years.
Prior to the appointment of Mr. Spota as CFO at Basilea, he held other senior financial leadership positions, including Global Head of Finance & Services and Head of Global Controlling. Previously, Mr. Spota held senior positions in financial planning and controlling at F. Hoffmann-La Roche for six years in Basel, Switzerland.
Mr. Spota holds a degree in Information Technology from the Swiss Bundesamt für Berufsbildung und Technologie and a Master’s degree inBusiness Administration from the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt.
