Yoogaia receives funding

The online yoga studio Yoogaia has received three million US dollars in seed funding from Nokia Growth Partners, Inventure, Sanoma Ventures and Point Nine Capital. The funding will support Yoogaia’s global expansion and help the company recruit more instructors.
Established in 2013 Yoogaia has grown rapidly and already boasts 50 000 users in 50 countries. Earlier this year, Yoogaia opened its first studios in Helsinki, London and Hong Kong. In September, the company will launch German yoga classes.
“Yoogaia has created a fantastic product that really stands out in the fitness market. The figures show that users have been highly satisfied with the service. We are impressed by the achievements of the team and are thrilled at the opportunity to help expand the service,” says Nicolas Wittenborn from Point Nine Capital.
