Oslo Cancer Cluster welcomes six new board members
The newly composed board of Oslo Cancer Cluster brings together leaders from universities, hospitals, biotech companies, global pharmaceutical firms and patient organisations.
This cross-sector representation is central to advancing cancer research, innovation and precision medicine in Norway, and to strengthening links between science and commercial development, the cluster states.
New members
- Sigbjørn Smeland, Head of the Division of Cancer Medicine at Oslo University Hospital
- Tor Even Sogn Nergård, Executive Director for International Hematology at Eli Lilly
- Tarje Bergdahl, Medical Director Norway at Novartis
- Jens Petter Berg, Vice-Rector for Life Science and Health Research at the University of Oslo
- Renée Amundsen, Chief Operating Officer at Lytix Biopharma
- Ole Alexander Opdalshei, Deputy Secretary General at the Norwegian Cancer Society
Six members were re-elected, ensuring continuity in the board’s work: Line Bjørge (University of Bergen), Geir Hetland (Thermo Fisher Scientific), Gunhild Mari Mælandsmo (Oslo University Hospital), Thomas London (Oslo Science Hub) and Åsmund Flobak (St. Olavs Hospital/NTNU).
Jónas Einarsson, CEO of Radforsk and co-founder of Oslo Cancer Cluster, also retains a seat on the board as an honorary member.
