The improvement is to come from three sources: a new operating model built around five regions, each with clear accountability, lower procurement spending, and stronger commercial execution.

The plan requires a one-time investment of approximately SEK 370 million, most of it by 2027. Arjo expects the investment to give it a permanently lower cost base.

The Malmö-based company makes solutions for patient handling, hygiene, pressure injury prevention and medical beds. Under the new strategy it will focus on segments where its products are not yet widely used and on sharpening its portfolio priorities. Arjo will present updated financial targets reflecting the strategy in the first quarter of 2027.

“Arjo has a lot to be proud of, but we are not yet performing to our full potential. This strategy is about reconnecting to our core strengths while building a simpler, more focused and commercially viable company,” says President and CEO Andréas Elgaard.
