Authera secures new funding from the Research Council of Norway
Authera has received funding from the Research Council of Norway through the Innovation Project for the Industrial Sector.
This support will accelerate the development of the company’s lead antibody-based candidate for the treatment of severe eye diseases, it states. Authera’s mission is to deliver treatments addressing unmet needs in ophthalmology, offering hope to those suffering from conditions that cause severe vision impairment and blindness.
The funding builds on the encouraging results from the company’s first Innovation Project (2023–2025) focused on discovery of AuT-1, and will help bring our development closer to clinical testing.
“We are excited to take the next steps toward late pre-clinical development and remain committed to delivering solutions that can transform the lives of patients affected by severe eye diseases,” says CSO Authera, Torleif Tollefsrud Gjølberg.
