Denmark’s 2015 Foreign Company of the Year has been awarded to the global life science company Bayer and the jury placed particular emphasis on the company’s ability to show growth in difficult markets, their ability to create deep partnerships with Danish institutions and their introduction of innovative products related to human, animal and plant health..

“As a fast growing pharma and life science company in Denmark, Bayer has continuously introduced innovative products to the Danish market. By committing to strategic partnerships, placing a Nordic HQ in Copenhagen and sustaining a socially responsible business by fostering diversity in the workplace, Bayer is a valuable asset to Denmark,” said spokesman for the jury, Jørgen Bardenfleth.

“It is a great honour to be named as AmCham’s 2015 “Foreign Company of the Year”. It is great news for Bayer to receive the recognition for the tremendous job that all of our employees do to ensure that we are able to provide innovative and sustainable products and solutions to help improve people’s lives in the Danish Society,” said the CEO for Bayer Denmark, Marion McPherson.

Bayer joins a prestigious list of previous award winners including: Roche (2014), Biogen Idec (2013), McDonald’s (2012), Siemens (2011), Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers (2010), Iron Mountain (2009) and GlaxoSmithKline (2008).
