Cobra Biologics expands production facility

The contract manufacturer Cobra Biologics are hiring new employees to the company’s production facility in Matfors in northern Sweden.
In four years, the company has doubled its staff and in the spring of 2014 half a dozen employees were recruited. The company could have around 50 staff members in the fall, says local manager Lars Fahlander to the online edition of Sundsvalls Tidning, st.nu.
The five new posts will be partly within quality and laboratory operations.
“Exactly how many we are hiring depends on who we can find. It could be fewer than five but possibly also more,” says Lars Fahlander to st.nu.
Cobra Biologics is a British contract manufacturing organisation and a subsidiary to the Swedish holding company Cobra Biologics Holding. The firm has besides the facility in Matfors also operations in Södertälje and in Keene, England, as well as sales offices in the United States, Canada and Asia. In Matfors the production is focused on providing services to other companies such as refilling liquid pharmaceuticals in bottles and shots as well as developing components for pharmaceuticals in clinical studies.
