Cytomed to Make Flu Drug in Finland
Russian-owned company Cytomed, which has a pharmaceutical plant near Lappeenranta in eastern Finland, won approval from the Finnish Medicines Agency to start production of its influenza medicine Cytovir-3.
Cytomed’s Finnish pharmaceutical plant was built in 2012 and is focused on producing drugs for the Russian market. Julia Volkov, Cytomed’s CEO in Finland, said exports to Russia can start in the spring of 2015.
