Mathias comes with a background spanning universities, regional healthcare and applied research environments. Mathias has developed national initiatives, established innovation environments and built consortia connecting diverse stakeholders. His work includes health technology pilots, AI-supported innovation, the creation of a new national research centre for multimorbidity and the large-scale implementation of the Elder Reform.

He is recognized for transforming strategic opportunities into strong, competitive project designs through systematic development, clear stakeholder alignment and a consistent focus on real-world adoption, describes MVA.

In his new role, Mathias will identify, shape and deliver strategic stronghold projects in life science innovation; build and lead triple-helix partnerships across the region; and strengthen MVA’s fundraising capacity and regional and international project pipeline.
