In response to Russia’s military attack on Ukraine, NordForsk has decided that co-operation projects with Russia will be suspended.

“Following the attack on Ukraine, both the Nordic Council of Ministers and the authorities in the Nordic countries have decided to halt cooperation with Russia in a number of areas. We believe it is appropriate to follow the same line, and have therefore ordered a halt to the projects that involves co-operation with research institutions in Russia,” says Director Arne Flåøyen.

NordForsk’s decision does not necessarily mean that the projects will be canceled. The projects can be carried out later, depending on whether Russia ends its attack on Ukraine and the Nordic countries restore normal relations with Russia, NordForsk states.
