Organised for professionals working in pharmacovigilance departments of pharmaceutical companies, the event featured a packed programme of scientific sessions, practical workshops and opportunities for networking.

The day started with a welcome from the Scientific Board, setting the tone for an agenda focused on data-driven innovation and collaboration. Revathi Ramesh and Alicia Toft-Hansen of Novo Nordisk opened the scientific sessions with an engaging presentation on From Data to Decisions: Overview of Signal Detection and Signal Management Strategies, exploring strategies for effective signal detection and management in an increasingly complex safety landscape.

Next, Christine Erikstrup Hallgreen, Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, discussed the Effectiveness of Risk Minimisation Measures, highlighting the importance of continuous evaluation to ensure patient protection and compliance with evolving regulations.

Artificial intelligence emerged as one of the day’s dominant themes. Professor Mads Nielsen from the University of Copenhagen’s, Pioneer Centre for AI, captivated the audience with insights into Pharmacovigilance by Real Time AI Analyses. His session was followed by Andrew Bate, Vice President & Head of Safety Innovation & Analytics at GSK, who examined the Latest Developments in the Use of AI for PV and Challenges and Opportunities.

After a lively networking lunch, attention turned to operational excellence and inspection readiness. In an interactive workshop, Michael Torres and Serena Tuosto of Arithmos encouraged participants to broaden their perspective — viewing inspection preparedness not only as a pharmacovigilance responsibility but as a company-wide culture of compliance and accountability.

Later in the afternoon, Caroline Susanne Sandström of Ferring Pharmaceuticals presented about Quality Assurance in Pharmacovigilance: Essential Elements & Key Factors, underlining how robust QA frameworks support both regulatory trust and patient safety.

The final sessions focused on outsourcing strategies and vendor collaboration. Pernille Gammelgaard of LEO Pharma discussed the The Complexity of Outsourcing both Global and Local PV Processes and the Collaboration with Vendors across Different Areas, while Linda Bech of Pharmalex Denmark shared Key learnings and insights derived from real-world PV outsourcing engagements, offering practical takeaways for organisations working with external partners.

The conference concluded with closing remarks from the organisers, who emphasised the value of knowledge exchange and collective progress within the Nordic pharmacovigilance community.
