SwedenBIO’s CEO appointed to global biotech role
Jessica Martinsson, CEO of the Swedish industry organization SwedenBIO, has been elected Vice Chair of the International Council of Biotechnology Associations (ICBA).
The appointment was confirmed at ICBA’s annual meeting held in connection with BIO International in San Diego.
“I look forward to joining ICBA’s board and contributing to the development of biotechnology worldwide,” says Jessica Martinsson. “It is, of course, also positive for Swedish life science that we are represented in prominent international organizations. It gives us the opportunity to influence key issues, build international networks and strengthen Sweden’s position as a leading life science nation.”

The International Council of Biotechnology Associations (ICBA) is a global umbrella organization for national, non-profit biotechnology trade associations. Its mission is to increase public understanding of biotechnology and to promote policy decisions that support growth in the innovative biotech industry.
