Pharmability gets green light for first-in-human study of TIR-C in atopic dermatitis
Pharmability has received approval from the Swedish Medical Products Agency to start a Phase Ib clinical trial of its lead candidate TIR-C in atopic dermatitis, marking the company’s move from preclinical to clinical development.
The study will be conducted in Sweden and will evaluate the safety and tolerability of TIR-C, with exploratory efficacy readouts in patients with atopic dermatitis. It will be the first time the candidate is administered to patients.
“This approval is built on several years of preclinical work and has now resulted in the first study in patients,” says Leo Holmgren, CEO of Pharmability.
The trial will generate the first clinical data for TIR-C and help guide the next steps in the development program.
