Glycosorb ABO is a proprietary medical device that uses antigen-specific immunoadsorption to reduce blood-group and other antibodies, enabling blood-group-incompatible transplantation by removing anti-A/B antibodies from a recipient’s plasma. It has been used in more than 8,000 transplants across 30-plus countries, spanning kidney, liver, heart, lung and stem cell transplantation. Malaysia is a strategically relevant market for the company: roughly 70 percent of kidney transplants there rely on living donors, a setting in which Glycorex describes its technology as the “gold standard.” OneMedik, the new distribution partner, has operated in Malaysia since 2009 and specialises in distributing plasmapheresis medical devices.
