The Swedish company has entered an agreement to participate in the development of medical management on Bornholm.

It will be an online system that according to MedicPen will move the medical management several steps forward.

“We are seeing a greater interest in products that help healthcare to increase quality and this is another example of this. It will not involve any significant volumes in the short term but we see this agreement as strategically important,” says MedicPen CEO Per Nilsson.

The project, which is expected to run until the spring of 2016 is largely financed by public Danish institutions. Other parties include Bornholm Regionskommune, Bornholm Hospital and KMD A/S.

MedicPen AB is based in Halmstad. The company has been listed on AktieTorget since December 11th, 2006. MedicPen develops, produces, and markets patented products that help patients optimize their medication adherence. The products are used by patients, consumers, and staff in healthcare and in clinical trials in the pharmaceutical industry.
