Tomas Åslund has started as VP Manufacturing at Scandinavian Biopharma.
Åslund has more than 30 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical and life science industry within the field of recombinant protein drugs, reports the company. Most recently he worked at Octapharma as Project Manager and Responsible Scientist, leading process validation and process development projects. He has also been Head of Octapharmas Biopharmaceutical production of recombinant FVIII and the responsible manager for a recombinant pilot plant for manufacturing of clinical material.

With my previous experience of drug development and manufacturing of biologics I hope to add value to make ETVAX® a vaccine that will save lives in the developing world, but also protect the travelers from tourist diarrhea,” says Tomas Åslund, who will be responsible for Manufacturing.
